The Department of State (Diplomatic Security Training Center - DSTC) is a Center of Excellence provider for Tier II role-based, instructor led, and interactive information security/assurance courses for federal government information technology security professionals. The mission of our Information Systems Security Line Of Business (ISSLOB) program is to train and sustain a federal workforce capable of effectively addressing and overcoming the information security challenges required to support federal government policies in the global threat environment now and in the future.

In July 2010, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified the DSTC as an ISSLOB Tier II Training Shared Service Provider of information assurance/information security role-based training. We currently have partnerships with DHS, the National Archives and Records Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Social Security Administration. Courses for ISSOs, System Administrators and Owners, Developers, Coders, and Managers can be designed to reflect Department/Agency information technology policies and guidelines. All training complies with the Federal Information Security Management Act using the National Institute for Standards and Technology guidelines.
