Randy Spivey is the CEO and Founder of the Center for Personal Protection and Safety (CPPS) and is recognized as a leading expert in the field of preventing and responding to violence in the workplace, schools, and Houses of Worship.  CPPS programs are currently being used in one third of Fortune 100 corporations, over 900 colleges and universities and many of the largest non-profit/charitable organizations in the U.S.  Since forming CPPS, Randy and his organization have trained over 1 million individuals in Best Practices related to Workplace Violence Prevention, Active Shooter Response, Travel Safety and Security, and Kidnap Survival.  

Prior to forming CPPS, Randy enjoyed a tenure as a Department of Defense executive.  Randy managed and provided oversight to all Hostage Survival training programs in the Department of Defense from 1997 to 2002 and co-authored multiple hostage-related policy and doctrine documents. As the head of the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency’s Policy and Oversight Division, Randy served on several multi-national panels related to survival training and represented the U.S. at a high-level workshops on how to modify current policies and associated training programs to ensure compatibility among our allies.

Randy has worked directly with many national-level media organizations to include: ABC World News Tonight, CNN, Fox News Live, MSNBC, Associated Press, History Channel, USA Today, and the New York Times.

Randy is the Chair of the ASIS Inland Northwest Chapter and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Relations from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Human Resource Development from South Dakota State University.
