Behavioral Analysis Unit 2, Critical Incident Response Group, FBI

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Molly Amman is the program manager for the FBI's multi-agency Behavioral Threat Assessment Center, part of the Behavioral Analysis Unit 2, National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime, Critical Incident Response Group.  Centered at Quantico, Virginia, the BTAC addresses targeted violence and mass attacks, such as in cases of school and campus attacks, workplace violence, healthcare institution attacks, and all other types of targeted violence.  SSA Amman and the BTAC conduct predictive assessments, investigative and interview strategies, unknown offender profiling, statement analysis, threat mitigation and management strategies and more.  

Prior to her current assignment, SSA Amman was on faculty at the FBI Academy, teaching in the areas of interviewing and interrogation, detection of deception and linguistic analysis.  She has conducted investigations in the violent crimes/major offenders and counterterrorism programs throughout her career, and worked in various locations around the world.  SSA Amman has a Juris Doctor degree from Drake University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa.
