Cybersecurity is an ever-growing concern in light of recent high-profile loss of some of this country's most valuable secrets. In response to this, the Government has begun the process of implementing regulations that not only contractors and government employees will have to abide by, but also the public at large. This presentation will give an overview of what regulations are in place and the practical implications of all involved in addition to pending regulations and proposed regulations. The presentation will be focused on both contractors and government procurement and IT professionals and will draw on the speakers practical experience and research in this area.

Session Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the current rules of the road and the practical implications.
  2. Practical takeaways about what government employees and contractors should do to stay compliant.
  3. A look at what to expect over the next 6-12 months and how that could change the cybersecurity landscape.
