You’ve developed your Agency’s Continuity of Operations (COOP) program to industry standards; checked all the requirements boxes; received “greens” on your FEMA COOP Evaluation Tool… so now what? This presentation will focus on how to move your COOP program from a series of individual, functional components into a robust comprehensive program that is value adding, operates smoothly, and actually increases your readiness capability.  Using best practices and proven successes ranging from ideas for designing a planning and preparedness cycle, robust organizational Business Continuity Plan development, to agency specific Eagle Horizon design, attendees will leave with proven solutions that can be easily adopted and implemented.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Explore how to develop actionable checklists to improve Leadership’s ability to quickly respond during a continuity or devolution event.
  2. Discuss how to structure your BCP/COOP maintenance program to ensure a building block approach to program development and organizational preparedness.
  3. Provide easy to use examples of successful Business Continuity Plan trainings and workshops designed to enhance existing programs.
  4. Offer ideas for how to harness Leadership buy-in to improve your COOP program and exercise participation.
