Cyber risk factors, which threaten the security of our nation’s critical infrastructure assets, are increasing at an alarming rate. Understanding these risks and developing strategies for strengthening network security are essential elements of a sound defensive posture. Members of the DHS Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) will highlight key cyber risk factors based on years of reported cyber incidents and effective incident response engagements. They will also recommend associated mitigation techniques that have proven effective in defending against cyber-attacks threatening industrial control systems.
