Session Description: A police K-9’s primary function is, and always will be, a locating tool to assist officers in apprehending suspects. In some cases, it may even be necessary to use the canine to physically apprehend a subject who is running or hiding in an area that puts officers at risk. In this demonstration, watch and learn how the WMATA K-9 team deploys K-9’s for criminal apprehensions in the field.
