WS-8 Powerful Campus Tabletop Exercises—A Practical, Applied Workshop for Development and Delivery of Tabletop Exercises

The focus of this workshop is on learning to design, conduct, and employ tabletop exercises in a way that strengthens your District/Campus Emergency Operations Plan and meets drill requirements. Learn to introduce campus personnel to the tabletop exercise experience, design scenarios and tools to assess capabilities, conduct the exercise, and translate tabletop information into positive organizational change.

Upon completion of this workshop, the participant will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of developing and conducting campus tabletop exercises and will be able to apply this knowledge to their educational institution.

The participant will be able to:

  • Design powerful, relevant tabletop scenarios specific to your educational setting
  • Develop the simple, practical supporting tools to assess exercise findings
  • Test the capability of your educational institution to prevent/mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from specific hazards and threats
  • Apply findings from tabletop exercises to strengthen the Emergency Operations Plan for your educational institution
