CS2-2 Building a Resilient Cyber Edge

November 20, 2013

2:15 PM - 3:15 PM

Jeff Snyder

Raytheon Company

Today's cyber threats are sufficiently advanced to jeopardize critical systems and even threaten access to basic staples such as electricity and water. Entire infrastructures from transportation and energy to industries and financial markets are subject to continual risk. In this session, Mr. Snyder will discuss the idea of "Cyber Resiliency" and a layered approach to mitigate cyber risks including insider threats. He will discuss how preventative measures are not enough and how they need to be layered with resilient, responsive capabilities to withstand data disruption, sustain critical operations and avoid major problems in the event of a breach.

In this session you will learn:

  1. About some of the latest cyber threat techniques and trends
  2. How damaging cyber attacks such as the insider threat really are
  3. What Cyber Resiliency means and how to implement it
  4. How preventative and offensive measures can be layered to sustain business or mission continuity while containing the threat in the event of a breach
