As you probably know, National Police Week, declared by Former President Kennedy as the week of May 15th in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day, is an annual celebration uniting thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world, in Washington, D.C. for various events honoring fallen officers.
In recognition of National Police Week, TREXPO has created various show features for attending law enforcement. For Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, Tuesday, May 14th – in addition to experiencing the latest products and technologies on the exhibition floor – visitors are also invited to attend new program sessions and live demonstrations that have been created especially for those working in law enforcement. TREXPO is also providing the first 250 attending active law enforcement with a free lunch as well as a free limited edition Challenge Coin to officers in uniform.
Also taking place on May 14th, is the Shoot, Don't Shoot and Shoot Fast! TREXPO Force and Firearms Championship. This thrilling competition, with cash prizes, will consist of real life video scenarios in which competitors will test their skills, speed and judgment in various shooting simulations. Attendees who participate will have the opportunity challenge their skills against federal, state and local law enforcement officials.
On Wednesday, May 15th at 11am, TREXPO will also hold a moment of silence in observance for Peace Officers Memorial Day, to honor the memory of those whose lives have been claimed by the call of duty.
