GovSec to honor outstanding Government Security products at 2013 event
The Government Security Awards, also known as the Govies, will once again be a highlight of the 2013 GovSec Homeland Security event. Created to recognize exceptional innovations in government security products, the prestigious award is sponsored by Security Products and GovSec. The highly coveted awards will be presented in the following nine categories:

- Cloud Computing/Storage
- Cloud Surveillance
- Disaster Recovery
- Homeland Security IP Video Surveillance Cameras
- IT Software/Hardware
- Mobile Security Apps
- Network Security Wireless Security and more
What makes the Govies so important?
In addition to being honored at GovSec, winners will also be featured on the Security Products website, www.security-today.com, and highlighted in a future issue of Security Products magazine, the only integrated product magazine reaching the entire security market.
In 2012, there were more than 50 entries for the Govies, which was a 40 percent increase from the initial 2009 launch. Winners are selected by a distinguished panel of judges from the government security industry.
