Federal Bureau of Investigation
Unit Chief (UC) Eric Strom entered on duty with the FBI on June 20, 1999. He is currently assigned as the Unit Chief in charge of the Cyber Initiative and Resource Fusion Unit (CIRFU), Cyber Division. CIRFU is embedded at the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance, a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation. The NCFTA promotes a neutral environment which allows law enforcement the ability to work side by side and virtually with cyber investigators, analysts and researchers from industry and academia to identify current and emerging cyber threats, with the goals of cyber threat mitigation, prevention, and prosecution. In recognition of his collaborative efforts to combat cyber threats, Unit Chief Strom was selected as Fed 100 award winner in 2013.
