Chris Koester is the owner and President of Priority One Safe-T, LLC, a safety consulting and training firm specialized in OSHA compliance and emergency response for manufacturing and industrial facilities. Chris is a consultant to the largest UAN Urea Ammonium Nitrate Manufacturer in the U.S., the U.S. Tar Creek Superfund site, and several other manufacturers that have oversight from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by virtue of the products manufactured. He is also a Hazardous Materials Technician for the Homeland Security Regional Response Team for Southwest Missouri Region D which covers 19 counties, a member of the Southwest Missouri Type III Incident Management Team, and a contract instructor at the Crowder College Northeast Technology Center and the University of Missouri Fire and Rescue Training Institute.

In addition to being an independent safety consultant, Chris is a firefighter employed with the 3rd largest municipal fire department in Missouri and carries the rank of Captain. He has 17 years of experience both as a volunteer and career firefighter, is a certified Fire Instructor II, and holds numerous firefighting and instructor certifications. He is a member of the Hazardous Materials Training and Research Institute (HMTRI), Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) and Community College Consortium for Health & Safety Training (CCCHST).

Prior to his firefighter career, Chris worked in manufacturing for small, medium, and large companies including Fortune 500. His field of expertise in business was Project Management, Change Management, e-Procurement, Technology Implementation, and Industrial Safety. Chris left Corporate America to follow his dream as a firefighter and has been involved in Industrial Safety for over 19 years. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Missouri Southern State University.
