Baird McNaught has contributed to the success of the DHS Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) since its inception in May of 2004. He has supported the development of many cyber security products, which the program shares with the control systems community to promote the implementation of sound cyber security practices in critical infrastructure. Baird McNaught led the team that developed the initial versions of the Cyber Security Evaluation Tool (CSET) and started the program’s on-site assessment efforts to assist asset owners to identify security gaps in their business and control system networks. He currently supports the ICS-CERT operational arm, providing incident response services and situational awareness information for the critical infrastructure community.
Prior to joining the ICS-CERT program, Baird managed various engineering and construction projects associated with storage, handling, and processing spent nuclear fuel for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Lab and Savannah River Site.
