The likelihood of being involved in an IED attack is unfortunately ever increasing.  Every day we hear about these unfortunate scenarios occurring throughout the world. Not only do these events occur against US government agencies and personnel but in recent times IED attacks have been against the general population, i.e., Atlanta Olympics and the Boston Marathon, basically they can and do occur everywhere.  Most citizen any even many law enforcement personnel do not know how to handle these events or what to expect when an IED detonates.  This session will explain exactly that, i.e., what to look for and what to expect if put in a situation involving an explosive device.  Cases studies, video clips, photographs (graphic at times), historic events, tactics, device descriptions, and possible countermeasures will be presented and discussed.
