Cable Johnson has 20 years of law enforcement experience and currently serves as a Patrol Lieutenant with the Arlington Police Department, Arlington, Texas. Cable has numerous certifications in Public Safety management. He is certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards & Education (TECLEOSE) as a Master Peace Officer. He has a wealth of other training and experiences which collectively serve as a foundation for much of his expertise in Public Safety planning and operations.
Cable is a graduate of several law enforcement supervisor training courses including the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration's School of Police Supervision. He graduated from the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Police Officer Training School.
Cable spent the past 5 years as the Public Safety Liaison to Cowboys Stadium. In this role he was responsible for the development and implementation of the venue's Public Safety Plan. He served as the law enforcement liaison for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and the National Football League (NFL) for the City of Arlington, Texas. He was a lead planner for a Super Bowl (XLV), the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game, 4 seasons of NFL, 4 AT&T Cotton Bowl Games, & numerous big-profile concerts (U2, Kenny Chesney, Paul McCartney, George Strait, Taylor Swift, and many others). He was an auxiliary planner for public safety operations during this same timeframe at Texas Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and assisted with both of their World Series operations.
Cable has testified in multiple cases as an expert witness on Public Safety Venue Management for Cowboys Stadium and the Dallas Cowboys. He created the Public Safety Venue Management Coalition (PSVMC.org) which is a network of on-line information sharing for public safety personnel tasked with managing major event venues. He routinely is requested to speak on Public Safety topics at major industry conferences and training sessions.
